With the increasing public health concerns regarding the COVID-19 (coronavirus), we want to assure you that we are closely monitoring this developing situation and want to be transparent about what we are doing as a company to protect our clients and employees.


We are focused on ensuring the safest and most sanitary work facilities possible.  In support of CDC and governmental guidelines and to limit exposure and practice social distancing in our branches, we have decided to close some of our branches and modify hours of operation in others.   Across our offices and branches, we have increased the frequency of cleanings, as well as focusing on high-traffic and high touch areas.


In addition, we have resources in place to provide you continued service in any type of contingency situation.  Our business continuity and pandemic plan is the backbone of this ability which we test and verify annually.


Lastly, our digital banking services help you stay connected to your accounts 24/7.

  • Retail and Business Online Banking is accessible through our website and in addition to providing you real time access to your account activity and balance information, also allows you to pay bills using bill pay and transfer money between your accounts.
  • Hanovermobile Personal and Hanovermobile Business allow you to bank wherever you are. Our mobile apps offer a lot of the same features as our online banking platforms, including real time account activity, transfers, and bill pay, but also allows you to deposit checks using your mobile device.

Modification to Branch Hours


We continue to actively monitor the impact of the coronavirus and the well-being of our employees, clients and our communities continues to be our priority.


In support of CDC and governmental guidelines and to limit exposure and practice social distancing in our branches, we have decided to modify our branch hours of operation

effective October 8th and until further notice:

Monday – Friday 9:00am- 5:00pm.

Lobby open, Curbside Banking, Drive-Up.

Forest Hills
Monday – Friday 9:00am- 5:00pm.
Lobby open.
Mineola Monday – Friday 9:00am- 5:00pm.

Flushing Monday – Friday 9:00am- 5:00pm

The Bowery Monday – Friday 9:00am- 5:00pm

Canal Street Closed
Sunset Park Monday – Friday 9:00am- 5:00pm

Introducing Curbside Banking at our Garden City Park Branch!


Hanover Bank is excited to announce the addition of curbside banking at our Garden City Park Branch. As we continue to navigate through the current environment and continue to focus on ensuring the safety of our employees and clients, we have implemented curbside banking, where we are bringing the bank to you in the comfort and safety of your vehicle.
To take advantage of this service at our Garden City Park location:


  1. Park in the designated curbside banking spot.
  2. Call the number listed on the sign and provide your curbside parking number.
  3. Provide your request to the Hanover Bank associate.
  4. A Hanover Bank associate will be out to assist you.


Cash transactions are not permitted through our curbside banking service.


Coronavirus Preventative Measures


We encourage our clients to follow guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to help stop the spread of coronavirus and other respiratory viruses:


  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcholol.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash. If you don’t have a tissue, cough or sneeze into your upper sleeve – not your hands.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

Beware of Coronavirus Scams


Cybercriminals are taking advantage of this uncertain time during the spread of the coronavirus. Remember to be vigilant about communications related to coronavirus (COVID-19). Phishing emails are being sent with malicious attachments and links to fraudulent websites enticing you to provide sensitive information. Also, use caution with social media pleas, texts, calls and donation requests related to COVID-19.


As a reminder, Hanover Bank will never ask you for sensitive account information, such as your password, social security number or account number.
